Stokd (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the Stokd mobile application and website at https://stokd.pro(collectively, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.

Please read this policy carefully. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Account information (email address, display name)
  • Pantry inventory data (food items, quantities, categories)
  • Saved recipes and imported recipe content
  • Shopping list data
  • Preferences and taste profile settings

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device information (device type, operating system version)
  • App usage data and feature interactions
  • Crash reports and performance data
  • IP address and general location (country/region)

2.3 Camera and Photo Library

Stokdrequests access to your device's camera and photo library solely to enable barcode scanning, receipt scanning, and pantry photo import features. Images captured or selected are processed on-device or securely transmitted for ingredient extraction. We do not store raw photos beyond what is necessary to complete the requested action.

2.4 Biometric Authentication

If you enable Face ID or Touch ID, biometric data is processed entirely by your device's operating system. Stokd never receives, stores, or transmits biometric data.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
  • Match recipes to your pantry inventory
  • Sync your data across devices
  • Process subscription payments via RevenueCat
  • Send transactional notifications (if enabled)
  • Improve and personalize your experience
  • Analyze app performance and fix bugs

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Supabase — Database, authentication, and file storage. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
  • RevenueCat — Subscription management for Stokd Pro. Payment processing is handled by Apple and Google; we never see full payment card details.
  • OpenAI / OpenRouter— AI-powered recipe and ingredient extraction. Content submitted for AI processing is subject to these providers' data policies.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may delete your account at any time within the app settings, which will permanently delete your pantry data, recipes, and account information within 30 days.

6. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption for data in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, and role-based access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
